Steve Gill is a Program Manager for the Washington Department of Veterans Affairs (WDVA) and first joined the agency in 2001. Steve is responsible for the Transitioning Warrior Program in cooperation with the Warrior Transition Battalion and the Solider and Family Assistance Center on Fort Lewis, WA. Steve served honorably in the U.S. Army from 1994 to 1998 as a Human Resources Specialist at Fort Lewis, WA and Yongsan (Seoul), Korea.
Steve has business experience as a Human Resources Consultant for Avue Technologies Corporation and as a Service Coordinator for Life Force Services, Inc. Steve is an accredited Veterans Service Organization Representative with the American Legion and the Washington Department of Veterans Affairs and is certified as a Professional in Human Resources by the Society for Human Resources Management. Steve is also a recipient of the Washington Governors Award for Customer Service as a member of the Veterans Benefit Enhancement Team. Steve earned a Master in Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts from The Evergreen State College. He lives in Tacoma, WA.
